Community Service Program (UPS)
OVERVIEW
Recovery Resources partners with Pitkin County to facilitate the Useful Public Service Program (UPS) and is a member of Colorado Alternative Sentencing Program (CASP). UPS is a program that monitors court-ordered community service hours and reports to the courts on the completion, or non-compliance of hours. The program is self-funded by the fees paid by the defendants to perform their hours.

How It Works
You are sentenced and ordered to perform useful public service hours as part of your sentence.
Submit a copy of your sentencing order to Recovery Resources at communityservice@recoveryresourcescolorado.org.
Complete intake packet and pay the intake fee. *
After submitting the forms linked above contact Colleen Mullens at communityservice@recoveryresourcescolorado.org and/or call 970-379-0634 to be matched with an agency to complete your hours. Please do not start your hours with any agency. If you do, those hours will not be allowed to be counted toward your required sentencing hours.
Take your timesheet to your worksite. It is up to you to schedule your own hours with the assigned worksite and work as scheduled. The worksite supervisor will monitor hours worked.
Once all hours are completed, the worksite supervisor will sign paperwork. You are then responsible for returning all paperwork to this email address: communityservice@recoveryresourcescolorado.org
This office will verify hours worked and report to the court upon completion of hours.
If hours are not completed by the due date, a non-compliance is submitted to the court. A hearing will be scheduled for you to appear before the judge. You may be given an extension or be advised on the violations. Pay the extension fee.
*If you prefer to pay in cash, you will need to complete the form in person at our locations in Aspen or Basalt.
