An exciting atmosphere for positive changes

To make changes for a better life, we need new habits and behaviors. Horses are masters of understanding behavior - they know the difference between unsafe behaviors and a steady, calm demeanor.

In EAL, you will work hands-on with horses to learn skills that last a lifetime.

These skills have helped countless people (young and old!) move forward in their life better prepared to take on challenges.

In only 8 - 12 weeks, EAL helps you become the best version of you - with higher self-esteem and confidence! You’ll develop a completely new set of skills so you can develop healthy relationships, overcome barriers, solve problems, and communicate effectively.

How the EAL Program Works

Horses are the teacher but not the focus of EAL. Each session focuses on learning a life skill objective.  Working with your horse, you’ll learn skills such as negotiation, communication, and boundary setting.

1. Getting Comfortable with Your New Teacher

You don’t need any experience with horses to do EAL. In your first session, you complete a safety orientation to learn the ground rules. The focus is your safety and the horse’s too. Our staff are highly trained and certified by Equine Connection - The Academy of Equine Assisted Learning. This is the global standard for horse-assisted learning. You’ll learn how to communicate with the horse and create trust. You become the leader the horse is looking for.

2. Discover Your Solutions

With a foundation of trust established, the discovery can begin. Over the course of 8 or 12 weeks, you’ll do specific programs with your horse.  Each program focuses on one objective at a time. Skills like communication, negotiating, and establishing boundaries can be difficult in our lives. But the horse will show you how clear and simple it can be. Each skill program objective builds on the one before it so you walk away with a complete tool kit for your life.

3. Celebrate Your Journey

You’re now ready to take what you’ve learned and use it in your everyday life. No matter the challenges of your daily life, the horse has shown you the solutions within you! You have resilience you can use in everyday life.

A teacher that doesn’t judge - only listens

Horses operate by simple rules. They are highly intuitive and can sense when you’re feeling turmoil on the inside.  Horses are sensitive to your stress. They respond to your stimulus - guiding you to find your inner voice.

  • Are you communicating effectively?

  • Are your boundaries clear and respected?

  • Are you taking the lead?

unsplash-image-OLL7SNhGeZk.jpg

Horses can sense it all. They will show you when you’re disconnected from your true voice and empower you to find your way.

With the horse’s guidance, you’ll become more confident. Horses help you find clarity to overcome challenges with a calm mind.

Why work with horses?

Horses are prey animals. They must be observant to survive. They react quickly to their surroundings.  Because horses are so intuitive, they sense when you aren’t at ease.

When you have an internal struggle, the horses adjust their body language to you. They reflect what you’re feeling - clearly and without judgment.

The horse acts as a mirror for your feelings. As you become more aware of the horse’s body language, you’re building awareness of your true self.

With this newfound awareness, you’ll know when old habits are surfacing. And you’ll be able to adjust course so you can live to your fullest potential.
