Our Herd
Each of our horses and donkeys has a unique story that makes them wonderful teachers in our EAL program. Many of them are rescue animals that we are happy to be able to give a good home to.

Abraham
Abraham has a gentle spirit and approaches people with caution. He has the confidence to stand alone. He has the courage to make tough decisions. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.

Cherry
Cherry is a very special lady. Despite her abuse and neglect, she has a way of helping others.
She influences her leader to be strong and decisive. Cherry has the ability to provide compassion and encouragement to others. Cherry has shown the greatest partnership exists when trust is earned. -
Levi
Being little does not mean that you are not capable of leading. Dynamite comes in small packages. Levi is proof that leaders are born in every size. Leadership is not a position or a title. It is an action and an example. Levi brings his own gifts by offering character building and partnership. Levi knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.

This is Lily!
Lily is more "Whoa" than "Go". The most important command that is taught to a horse is "Whoa". Lily is a gentle giant that is willing to do anything you ask. Lily's teaching skills are more naturally inclined to go slowly than to go forward. Lily is the best beginner teacher due to her willingness to stop easily. Lily is a Shire that is known for her easy going nature and she is always eager to please.

Nacho
Nacho is a leader in Authentic connection. He has overcome obstacles of abuse and neglect. His inner strength overrides his past. His true greatness consists in being great in little things. Nacho understands that everything is negotiable. Whether or not the negotiation is easy is another thing.

Rose
Rose shows up with willingness and always wanting human attention. Anyone can catch your eye, but it takes someone special to capture your heart. Rose is very large in size but do not let her size intimidate you. If she could sit in your lap, she would. Rose is the snuggle bug horse. When you have gained her trust, you have won a friend for life.

Stormy
Stormy was born during a thunderstorm. She shows up with strength and with gentleness. Stormy makes it a priority for her partners to demonstrate that she can trust them. Once the trust is earned, you can expect Stormy to give with her whole heart.

Teton
Teton is sensitive but not delicate. Teton doesn't care how much you know until she knows how much you care. One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what Teton has to say. Teton teaches us to actively listen.

Pixie
Pixie's real name is Black Forest Picturesque. She was born and raised in England! She is one of many Gypsy Vanner's that came to America and the rest is history! Pixie is very friendly and loves to be groomed. At times, she will rest her very large head on your shoulder as you groom her. Don't mistake that small statue! She is full of spunk and attitude! This breed is straightforward. She will teach you that when it comes to communication, you must always say what you mean and mean what you say.
