    2021 Helen K. Klanderud Exemplary Service Award Recipient

    Janelle is the founder and CEO of Recovery Resources. In her role as the Founder and CEO, Janelle oversees Recovery Resources’ leadership team and day-to-day operations.

    Janelle Duhon started her career in addiction working in an acute detoxification center. Detox is the starting point for recovery. Janelle’s determination to help people struggling with addiction and mental health challenges became her passion. Janelle has a master’s degree in Science and is a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS). Janelle is also a trained Brain Synchronization therapist. She specializes in trauma and substance use.

    Janelle moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2011 to pursue her equestrian dream. The equestrian dream came true! Janelle currently owns Lady Gabrielle, Annie and a lovely donkey named Nacho. In her spare time, Janelle loves riding her horses and spending time with her Boston Terrier, Lizzie. Her hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, camping, backpacking, boxing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and snow climbing.

    CHIEF CLINICAL OFFICER

    MA, LPC, CAS

    Beth has a master’s degree in Counseling, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addiction Specialist.

    She works with individuals, couples, and families. Her specialty is family members and friends who have a loved one who uses alcohol or drugs. If you or your loved one has a problem with the use of substances, she is happy to talk with you about change and the possibilities of a new way to live.

    She provides compassionate counseling to work through thoughts, feelings and behaviors. She holds space for clients to learn healthy coping, calming, and communication skills to live more fully.

    Beth uses various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques. At each session, she provides skills to practice between appointments so that you have the tools to achieve your goals. Beth is currently accepting new clients.

    Kristin Kail

    PRETRIAL CASE MANAGER

    BSW

    Kristin Kail is the Pretrial Case Manager for Recovery Resources. She has a bachelor's degree in social work and has worked in this capacity for 20+ years, taking a brief break while working as a paraprofessional in the Aspen School District which allowed her to be on the same schedule as her children. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to be a part of the Recovery Resources team and vision.

    She moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2013 from the Front Range with her husband and two daughters. Kristin has been an avid runner and has challenged herself in running a couple of marathons as well as a plethora of half marathons. When running races, it is all about the scenery so moving to this beautifully stunning valley has been an advantage in that arena. When she is not running, Kristin also enjoys baking--"There is nothing more therapeutic than kneading dough for homemade bread!"

    BS, RBT, QMAP, CAT in Training

    Alex is our Aspen Withdrawal Management Facility Manager. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Tomsk Polytechnic University, has earned his QMAP and RBT certificates, and is currently CAT in Training.

    Alex is originally from Russia and has worked with individuals of all ages with various developmental disorders throughout his career in the mental health field. Alex is passionate about substance abuse treatment, psychology, ABA therapy and behavioral health. He enjoys helping our detox clients start their journeys to sobriety.

    Jami holds a true passion for helping others and understanding their stories with compassion and empathy. 

    She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a focus on mental health and addictions and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling.

    When Jami is not studying or working with our DUI clients, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her two horses, cheeky and iceman.

    Colleen is passionate about helping address the concerns of each of the clients in our UPS community service program. She enjoys listening to client’s stories and assisting them with the community service process.

    Colleen was born and raised in Wyoming and enjoys meeting new people and taking on new challenges daily. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and being outside with her horses and dogs.

    SCREENING COORDINATOR

    BSBA, CNA

    Conner is our Drug Testing Admin Manager. He has a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Colorado Denver. Conner is also a CNA, and has worked as a CNA since 2019. With backgrounds in both business and healthcare, it is exciting for him to combine the two at Recovery Resources.

    In his position, he is often the first point of contact for clients regarding questions and other information about the services Recovery Resources has to offer..

    He grew up in the Yampa Valley, but has now lived in Glenwood Springs for the past two years with his partner and their furry, four-legged son. He enjoys everything that the beautiful state of Colorado has to offer. During his free time, you can find him camping, hiking, paddle boarding, or anything else that involves the outdoors.

    Maria is originally from vibrant Monterey, Mexico. She began as a bilingual secretary, showcasing her exceptional language skills, and later became an ESL teacher. However, it was in the healthcare sector that Maria found her true passion. For 15 years, she has excelled as a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing exceptional care to those in need.

    In her role at Recovery Resources, Maria looks forward to providing equity and assistance to the Spanish-speaking population of her community.

    In her personal life, Maria finds joy as a proud mother of two sons and a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren. Her 28-year marriage is a testament to the strength of their love and commitment, creating a home filled with warmth and cherished memories.

    Relocating to the Roaring Fork Valley from Enid, Oklahoma, in December 2022, Maria embraced change with resilience and optimism. Her dedication, kindness, and perseverance make a positive impact on both her personal and professional spheres. Outside of her commitments, Maria is actively involved in her local church. Her deep-rooted faith continues to inspire others around her.

  • Pamela Batchelor

    INTERNAL AUDITOR

    As Recovery Resources’ Internal Auditor, Pamela trains employees in documentation, performs routine departmental audits, and provides supervision for our organization.

    Pamela grew up in a small town, Saratoga, Wyoming.  She moved to Colorado after graduating from college and later found her way to the Roaring Fork Valley after visiting the area. 

    Pamela earned her Batchelor of Science in Sociology and Minor in Psychology from Utah State University and later completed her MA in Clinical Mental Health in 2005. 

    Pamela loves helping others and has spent the majority of her career working in an inpatient setting. 

    In her free time, Pamela enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

    COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR & CASE MANAGER

    BA-J, AA-HHS

    James is one of Recovery Resources’ Unsheltered Case Managers. He works onsite in Aspen assisting our unsheltered clients with facility offerings and future planning. He also works as a Recovery Resources Community Navigator, responding to questions from the public regarding our Community Connect Point and Winter Emergency Shelter.

    James is a former social worker with experience working with many different populations from individuals in crisis to those who are developmentally and intellectually delayed. He also brings his comfort working with the public from his time as a reporter and newspaper editor to his position.

    James is passionate about helping clients rebuild their lives and move forward to better, brighter futures.
